As you may have noticed (but probably you haven't since you are not really paying that much attention to my lists over there to the left) I've sped through the Twilight series in a way that I haven't sped through any books in years. Not that I don't like reading. I do like reading. It's just hard to get stretches of time to myself that don't automatically fill up with domestic tasks. Time when I think, yeah, I'll read now instead of doing the stuff that makes this house liveable.
Usually when I have 'free time' I look around the house and realize I need to bake bread or clean the toilet, I'm industrious like that. In fact, I often set out to clean just the kitchen and before I know it I've scoured the whole first floor of the house and in doing so have misplaced or disorganized all of K's stuff from school papers to phone chargers. Apparently I'm not only industrious, but thoughtful.
I'm very nearly finished with the third book in this somehow and insidiously addictive series. I'm a real sucker for vampire books, so I guess I never had a chance. Number three has been the most annoying of them so far. Seriously, this author can write teenagers like nobody's business. The level of dramatic emotion is just exactly what teenage romance is really like...I think. Anyway, I'm enjoying the fluff.
But NEVER SEE THE MOVIE. It was really bad. Not only was it just hideous drivel to watch (somethings, like trashy romance novels, weren't meant to be taken seriously on film), but the guy who plays Edward? Did anyone else notice how huge his head is? Like at least twice the size of Kristin Stewart's head. Found it hard to concentrate on anything else but the sheer magnitude of his head. And the amount of product they had to use in his hair to make it look like that. Terrible.
Do I sound petty?
